OVERLAND PARK, Kan., May 20, 2021 Netsmart announced it has earned the fifth consecutive top performing technology solutions and services award by the annual client-user experience polling of mental and behavioral health providers in the 2021 Black Book™ survey.

The industry-leading healthcare technology provider was awarded for the highest client satisfaction in the category of behavioral health electronic health record (EHR). The Black Book Market Research survey included responses from 2,420 mental and behavioral health clinicians and professionals, including more than 1,600 psychologists, social workers, counselors and mental health specialists. The top performing EHR award included findings based on responses covering order management, charting, electronic prescribing and patient portal.

Black Book is a full-service healthcare-centric market research company, conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys of client-user healthcare and technology services. The Black Book survey polls customer satisfaction based on 18 client experience-based key performance indicators. The data is then reviewed by an internal and external audit process to ensure the authenticity of the study.

Netsmart was also recognized in March by Black Book as the #1 post-acute technology solutions vendor for the seventh consecutive year by EHR client-users serving skilled nursing facilities, short and long-term rehabilitation centers, hospital-based subacute units, home health agencies and hospice organizations.

“Year after year, we see users within the industry recognize Netsmart as the top-rated technology provider in the mental health and behavioral health industry,” said Doug Brown, president and CEO of Black Book Market Research. “It’s clear that, even in a tightening and increasingly complex market, Netsmart is continuing to lead the behavioral health industry by providing a technology platform that is a vital part of their users’ workflow, patient coordination and critical digital capabilities to the successful providers in the value-based care environment.”

In addition to being recognized as the top EHR provider, Netsmart was also ranked the top vendor for behavioral health practice management with value-added capabilities in patient registration, patient scheduling, resource utilization, population health, interoperability, insurance and billing.

“Each year we anticipate the announcement of the Black Book survey awards and couldn’t be more thrilled to be recognized by client-users in the mental and behavioral health provider communities,” said Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine. “With an ever-changing healthcare landscape, we strive to further advance technology innovation for the solutions and services that are integrated through our CareFabric® platform. This recognition shows that our clients are having success in person-centered care delivery of our community-based organizations, and we are committed to improving the outcomes of the individuals we collectively serve.”
