The implementation of the electronic visit verification (EVV) mandate is more than a means for state agencies and managed care organizations (MCOs) to monitor use of authorizations and reduce waste. It’s an opportunity to leverage data to improve outcomes, reduce costs and keep up with the move toward incorporating social determinants of health (SDoH) and other key elements into value-based care initiatives.
